Multiple Telecommunications Projects

Benchmark has been providing environmental consulting services to Verizon since 2000 under a Master Services Agreement.   Our scope of work has included Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Reviews, Phase I ESAs, Phase II Site Assessments, asbestos and lead paint surveys, radon testing, threatened and endangered species and wetland surveys, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) services associated with site selection, design, and construction of cellular towers. Benchmark has provided these services on thousands of sites across the United States including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho totaling approximately.

NEPA services are conducted in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) [42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq.] and requires coordination with a number of federal and state regulatory agencies including the State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Asbestos and lead based paint services include inspections of all structures located on the subject property and/or inspections of any areas that would be affected by the proposed site activities.  Inspections include bulk sampling of all effected building materials, cataloging the location and amount of each material, the location of each sample taken, creation of sample maps or drawings, photographs of each sample taken, generation of survey reports and data entry of all accumulated information.
